1Per-km rates by car type
For trips out of Jaipur, cabs are priced by the kilometre and the rate depends on the car. With us, a hatchback like a WagonR starts at ₹9 per km, a sedan like a Swift Dzire or Etios at ₹10, a six-seater Ertiga at ₹13, and a seven-seater Innova Crysta at ₹16. A tempo traveller for 9 to 16 people starts at about ₹15 per km. Luxury cars such as a Fortuner, Audi or Mercedes start from ₹60 per km.
2Local sightseeing vs outstation
Sightseeing within Jaipur is usually sold as a full-day or half-day package rather than per km, as most of the driving is short hops between Amber Fort, the old city and Nahargarh with long waits in between. Outstation trips are charged on the distance covered, with a daily minimum, and a driver allowance for each night away. Always ask whether tolls, parking, state taxes and the driver's stay are in the quote. Ours include them.
3One-way vs round trip
On a round trip, you pay for the drive back even if you don't use it. If you're only going one way, a one-way fare is usually far cheaper. Our one-way fares in a sedan start at ₹2,500 to Delhi, ₹3,500 to Jodhpur or Bikaner, ₹4,000 to Udaipur and ₹5,500 to Jaisalmer. For multi-day tours, round-trip per-km pricing with the same driver works out better than booking a new car in every city.
4Airport, app cabs and autos
App cabs are handy for short rides within the city, but drivers often won't wait at monuments or take outstation trips. Auto rickshaws are fine for a quick hop, but agree the fare before you get in. For the airport, a pre-booked cab with a fixed fare means someone is waiting at arrivals even at 2 am. Our Jaipur airport cab includes parking and tolls in the fare.
5How to avoid surprises
Get the full quote in writing on WhatsApp before you travel, with the car model, the total kilometres or days, and exactly what's included. Ask whether night driving or hill stretches cost extra, and whether the car is CNG, petrol or diesel, as it affects range on long routes. Check the car is commercially registered, with a yellow number plate. Share your route with us and we'll send one clear price.
